Laura Cahill’s screenplay for HBO’s Hysterical Blindness, adapted from her original off-Broadway play, debuted at Sundance in 2002, and went on to receive nominations for Emmy, Independent Spirit and Writers’ Guild Awards. She has written pilot scripts for HBO, IFC, Touchstone, Warner Brothers, Paramount, WB Network and UPN. She has written screenplays for Miramax, 20th Century Fox, CBS, Lifetime, USA and others. Laura’s plays “Hysterical Blindness”, “The Way”, “Jersey Girls Go to the Park”, “Mercy” and “Home” have been produced or workshopped at such noted theaters as the Vineyard Theater, Naked Angels, Ensemble Studio Theater and New Harmony Project. She just finished her first novel for young adults. She lives in Manhattan with her husband and daughter.
