Lucy Boyle is an actor and writer. As an actor, she has worked at The Cherry Lane, Trinity Repertory Co., FringeNYC, Hamptons Shakespeare Festival, and Commonwealth Shakespeare Co. Lucy’s plays have been produced/read at the Hangar Theatre, Trinity Repertory Company, Manhattan Theatre Source and East Hampton Guild Hall. In 2006 Paula Vogel and Erin Cressida Wilson invited her to join the Brown University graduate playwrights' workshop while she was pursuing her acting MFA there. She was a 2006-7 Dramatists’ Guild Fellow. She wrote and acted in a short film (If I Loved You) directed by Paul Grellong. With mentor Israel Horovitz, she recently wrote a feature-length screenplay in English and French that received a reading in Paris at La Fèmis, the national film school of France. |
