The Modern Woman Unbound

On Monday June 17th, 2002, WET hosted their second "The Modern Woman Unbound" authors panel with New York Times best-selling authors Lorene Cary ("Pride", "Price of A Child", "Black Ice"), Beth Harpaz ("Girls in the Van"), Corey Meizlik ("Talking Pictures") and Amy Sohn ("Run Catch Kiss" and "Kiss and Tell").

Moderated again by Piper Weiss, former East Coast Editor of Backstage.com, the authors discussed many topics including the challenges and rewards of being a writer in today's high tech, high speed environment and the question of the author's responsibility towards promoting theeducation, awareness and appreciation of literature.
The event was held at the Vineyard Theater in Union Square. Krispy Kreme donated doughnuts and Biagio Cru donated wine for the reception following. The authors sold and autographed copies of their books following the panel.
